Cabaret

Telling the story through the lens of Cliff’s book. The show begins the way it ends.
What made fascism so sexy people were willing to abandon their morals for its cause? How much are we able to stretch our morals in order to buy into what's hot in society?
Frankenstein
Prompting reflection on the ethical dilemmas of scientific advancement and the responsibilities tied to the creation and alteration of life. Focusing on topics of grief, in most part relating to Mary Shelley’s own grief, and the creature being that embodiment.
Experimental Outdoor Theater
Down and dirty in the Oberlin Arboretum, our guerilla production emphasizes movement and nature in the face of intense repression. An immersive take where the audience wanders through the rain (with an incredible band) from location to location, scene to scene.
-
Polaroids
The show was marketed entirely through sultry polaroids taken of the performers in costume, placed strategically around campus.
-
The Great Outdoors
Themes of nature are an important part of this play so we took a site-specific intention, moving the play outdoors, and unexpectedly into the rain, forcing us to think on our feet.
-
Sense of Community
This show as largely based on the cast coming together, whether veterans of theater or first-timers, to devise the play emphasizing the grassroots and liberal ideals of Oberlin College.
-
Getting Dirty
The cast could be seen sporting white costumes, intended to get dirty as the show continued and they perform more and more movement in the dirt.
